Stewkley Decorating are continually striving to further improve every area of the business, I don't rest on my laurels as I believe complacency is the enemy of progress. Of course, the old adage 'if it isn't broke, don't fix it' is very true and the tried & trusted methods that I use on every job will always be implemented.
"Complacency is the enemy of progress." (Dave Stutman)
I want my customers to be pleased with all aspects of my service and the way I conduct my business. Whether that be the initial meeting, ongoing correspondence, working practices, quotes/estimates, invoices, workmanship, etc. Every area is continually reviewed and possible improvements considered, and will be implemented should they improve the overall service I offer. From keeping up to date with the latest technologies and paint systems to discussions with industry & technical experts. Maintaining the reputation I have built up and ensuring existing and new customers are more than happy with the service they receive is paramount to Stewkley Decorating.

January 2014 has already seen two significant improvements, with several more already planned for the months ahead. First my guarantee has now been extended a further six months to provide a total guarantee of 12 months from date of completion. The second improvement was refreshing StewkleyDecorating.com to provide visitors to my website with a fresher, cleaner and easier-on-the-eye experience.
The February-March 2014 edition of the official journal of the Painting and Decorating Association has featured pictures of my work in The Gallery section where a small number of members work is shown, this was my first attempt at getting images published.
During 2014 I also improved my paint spraying systems to better tackle both intricate and larger projects with both Wagner XVLP (extra volume low pressure) and airless paint spraying. On the right project these can save me time and my customers money - as an example a large project priced the traditional way took 3 days less than estimate when utilising paint spraying. There are added costs in terms of time to mask an area, tape/film/paper used & usually extra paint, so it has to be viable for spraying to be offered as an option where the saving in labour can more than offset extra cost of masking & paint.
YULEYS® are now used every time I enter a clients home. They are re-usable shoe covers, designed to fit conveniently and quickly over safety footwear, they enable me to enter clean environments without the need to remove dirty footwear. Described as an environmentally friendly and cost conscious alternative to traditional disposable shoe covers, they can easily be cleaned with warm water for years of use. The footwear is a seamless one piece shoe cover made of flexible industrial grade SEBS rubber and comes in a variety of sizes to fit the majority of work shoes and boots. Featuring a non slip grip, YULEYS® allow users to proceed with their work without removing safety footwear and without the risk of slipping in a paper, plastic, or nylon shoe cover. This also means that dustsheets are only laid in the areas where work is undertaken, so causing less disruption to the rest of the household.
Many improvements over the following years have taken place, some of which can be found elsewhere on this website.
