Roller, Brush or Airless Spray
Stewkley Decorating have invested in equipment and training to offer a full range of finish applications. Using the best synthetic and bristle brushes, quality 4", 9" & 12" roller sleeves & airless spray equipment, we can produce superb finishes on ceilings, walls and woodwork.
Choosing the right application will depend on many factors, such as... the size of area/room(s) to be painted, access around the room, will the room be empty during re-decorating, how much masking is needed, what finish is required, etc.
A roller and brush are the most common ways to paint most rooms, using a brush to cut-in where different colours are being used such as ceiling and walls / walls and woodwork, then rolling the remaining areas.
Airless spraying can be used on most areas, even external garage doors, though is more common for ceilings and woodwork trim.
The finish from spraying is of a very high quality and cannot be matched by a roller, but would not normally be used where the time taken to mask an area, set up the equipment and clean it afterwards will take longer. Airless spraying, even after masking and cleaning equipment afterwards, can be far quicker. For smaller projects the Graco HVLP 9.5 is perfect for kitchen cabinets, doors, frames, skirting and more. HVLP spraying with the Graco unit produces a fine finish.
Spraying smaller items such as mirrors, door knobs and the like can often be done with spray cans, Rust-Oleum offer a wide range of products for this, including for radiators.
